The family of Gavin Smith, the 20th Century Fox executive who has been missing since May 1, offered a $20,000 reward Tuesday for information on Smith's disappearance.
Smith's wife, Lisa, and three sons announced the reward at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's homicide department Tuesday afternoon, the Los Angeles Times reports.

"We truly need assistance from the public. We need additional tips, and we are hoping the public can provide them," Lisa said. "We don't know where Gavin is."

According to law enforcement, Smith's black 2000 Mercedes 420E bears the license plate number 6EKT044. According to the bulletin, Smith stands 6 feet 6 inches tall, weighs 210 pounds, and has grey hair with blond highlights, green eyes and a goatee.
Other identifying features include a five-inch scar on his calf, and another scar, about four inches long, on his inner right wrist.
He was last seen wearing purple pants, and black and grey shoes.

The family had planned a search for Smith in mid-May and hoped to enlist the public's help in the search, but the mission was canceled because a search area had not been pinpointed.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has not yet had any breaks in the case, the department told TheWrap last week.
The family has set up a website, Find Gavin Smith, to collect tips in the case.
A spokesman for Smith's family and the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department have not yet responded to TheWrap's requests for comment.
